Season Ticket Information

This week Plattsburgh State University’s Director of Athletics Bruce Delventhal sent out a letter to current VIP and reserved seat holders. Tickets will go on sale sometime in September, with reserved seat and VIP season ticket holder getting the first opportunity to pick out their seats for this coming season.

The following is an excerpt from that letter:

Over the next few weeks you will see advertisements and news briefs in the Press Republican about ticket sales, as well as announcements on Plattsburgh. State’s Web site and local radio.

Starting with this season, every ticket in Stafford will be for a specific seat, so our season ticket holders will be able to ensure that they are getting the exact same seat for every game. We will even give our season ticket holders the opportunity to by a ticket for the same seat during any SUNYAC or NCAA playoff games!

All current reserve-seat season ticket holders and VIP members will get the first opportunity to pick out their seats so they can get the same seats or at the very least similar seats, to the ones that they have had for years.

Other ticket details:

  • Tickets for regular season games will remain the same at $4.
  • The Oswego game ticket will remain $7.
  • The ticket price for the Cardinal Classic will be $12 per day, which covers both games.
  • The ticket for the opening game against Elmira which include opening ceremonies will be $10.
  • We will continue to offer the VIP ticket package, which includes two reserved seats and access to the VIP room prior to the game and between periods. The VIP price will be $400.

For a one-time gift of $250 to the Plattsburgh College Foundation, the college will have a special plate with your name engraved on it attacked to the seat or rail position of your choice. This plate will remain on the seat for the life of the seating and your gift will be tax-deductible. The seat naming gift is not part of a ticket purchase plan, but rather a way to make a donation to help further enhance our hockey program.

The “new” Stafford will have seating for 1,517 people and approximately 175 reserved spots on the rail above the rink. The ticket prices for the reserved rail spots will be the same as the seats. Because of the reduced seating capacity and the fact that all tickets will be for a specific seat, it is anticipated that we will have an increase in season ticket holders, many more sellouts, and fewer game-day sales. Our average attendance has been approximately 1,600, so now every game is likely to be a sellout.
