CARDINALS SWEEP WEEKLY SUNYAC HONORS

Coming off a PrimeLink Shootout Championship, the Cardinals made a clean sweep of this week's SUNYAC Honors.

Nick Rolls was named SUNYAC Player of the week. Rolls was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2007 PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout, which Plattsburgh won with victories over Saint John's (4-3 on Nov. 23) and No. 11 Norwich (5-3 on Nov. 24). Rolls scored two goals via the power play that either put Plattsburgh ahead or tied the game. The Cardinals captured their first Shootout title since 1999, beating defending tournament champion Norwich.

Bryan Hince was named Goaltender of the Week. Hince backstopped No. 7 Plattsburgh to its first Shootout championship in eight years, compiling 44 saves and a 2.93 goals-against average in two wins. He made 10 saves in the third period against 11th-ranked Norwich to preserve the title for the Cardinals. Hince was named to the Shootout all-tournament team.

Dan Sliasis was named Rookie of the Week. The freshman was selected the Most Outstanding Rookie of the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout hosted by Plattsburgh. He had a goal and an assist against Saint John's in the semifinals and scored another goal versus Norwich in the finals.
